The Kirksville Lady Tigers, with only seven available players, pulled off a big upset over Mexico 40-31 Wednesday at the Macon Tournament and advanced to Saturday’s Girls Championship game to take on Macon. KHS got off to a sluggish start, but only trailed by 2 at the half, 18-16. A much better second half for Kirksville, holding Mexico without a basket in the fourth quarter. Two big free throws by Corinne Vorkink and two by Elli Porter helped put the game out of reach. KHS climbs to 13-2 overall.
