KHS Tigers Get Past Centralia

The Kirksville Tigers knock off the Centralia Panthers in a first round pool play game at the Macon Tournament 66-43 Monday night. KHS grabbed an early 9-2 lead, but Centralia began to control the tempo and closed to within 4 at the end of the first period. The Tigers outscored Centralia 17-9 in the 2nd quarter to lead at the break 32-20. Then KHS used a strong fourth quarter this time, outscoring the Panthers 22-11 and go on to win 66-43. Drew Chrisman with a good game, leading all scorers with 18 points, including 6 for 8 at the free throw line, Keaton Anderson with 17. which included 4 for 6 at the stripe in the final quarter. The Tigers get to 13-1 overall and 1-0 in pool play. They next take on Harrisburg Wednesday at 7:30. Tuesday, the Lady Tigers open up pool play against Harrisburg at 6:00 in the Macon Multipurpose Building. Coverage on KIRX at 5:45.
