KHS Tigers Win At Fulton

The Kirksville Tigers won a wild game at Fulton Friday 57-54. Between scoreboard issues, interesting game management by the striped shirts, and an insanely loud home crowd, the Tigers were able to hang on. KHS led by six at the end of the third quarter 41-35. Fulton closed to within two with 4 seconds to play. A Fulton foul put Keaton Anderson at the free throw line with a chance to ice the game away. Anderson made his first to give KHS a three point lead. Anderson missed his second, Fulton rebounded, and a half court shot by Javar Galbreath missed the mark and the celebration began for the Tigers. Isaac Danielson was also clutch at the stripe in the fourth quarter, making 7 out of 8. Danielson and Anderson each finished with 21 points. Walker Gohring scored 22 for Fulton. The Tigers climb to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the NCMC. Next, it’s a trip to Marshall Wednesday as part two of a varsity twin bill, coverage on KIRX at 6:10.
