Jacob Lynn Donato

Jacob Lynn Donato, 37, of Lancaster, Missouri, passed away on December 12, 2021 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

He is the son of Frank Lynn and Portia Diane (Hamon) Donato. He was born on January 28, 1984 in Havre, Montana. He was a graduate of Widefield High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2002. In 2009 he received his Bachelor of Music and Worship degree from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri.

On March 14, 2009 in Bentonsport, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Erin Renee Avery, and to this union one son and three daughters were born; Gabriel, Lira, Ivey and Eden.

Jacob is survived by his wife, Erin, and children, Gabriel, Lira, Ivey and Eden of Lancaster, Missouri; his parents, Frank and Portia Donato of Marshalltown, Iowa; one brother, Jason Donato and wife, Catlin of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Jessica Lang and husband, Joseph of Joplin, Missouri and Jenessa Parquette and husband, Ryan of Ocala, Florida; three nephews, Adler, Innis and Leeton Donato; other family members and many good friends.

Jacob is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold, who passed away on December 1, 2021, and Mary Lou Hamon and Frank and Florence Donato.

Jacob was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church where he served as the Associate Minister for 4 1/2 years. He is also a member of Lamar Christian Church in Lamar, Colorado, where he served as the Worship Minister for six years.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. with Phil Miller of Scottsburg, Indiana officiating. Music will be provided by close family members and friends of the family with special selections of “The Blessing” and “Give Me Jesus.” Pallbearers will be Frank Donato, Dean Avery, Bryan Theis, John Beeler, Rory O’Neill, and Jason Donato. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for a college fund for Jacob’s surviving children. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
