Blues Rally Past Lightning

ST. LOUIS 4 – Tampa Bay 3 (SO)… The Blues erased an early three-goal deficit to beat the Lightning for the fifth straight time. Ryan O’Reilly scored the lone goal in the shootout.

 

Detroit 2 – BOSTON 1… Marc Staal’s first goal of the season broke a tie with just over eight minutes remaining and the Red Wings held off the Celtics. Filip Zadina also scored for Detroit. Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made 41 saves.

FLORIDA 5 – Washington 4… The Panthers scored four straight goals in the third period to upend the Capitals. Sam Reinhart netted the winning power-play goal with 14.4 seconds remaining.

San Jose 5 – NEW JERSEY 2… Timo Meier found the net twice to lead the Sharks past the Devils. Goalie James Reimer stopped 32 shots.

NASHVILLE 6 – Columbus 0… Goalie Juuse Saros made 27 saves for his first shutout of the season and the Predators skated past Blue Jackets. Filip Forsberg scored four goals off assists from Mikael Granlund.

MINNESOTA 5 – Arizona 2… Jordan Greenway scored a goal and set up two others as the Wild downed the Coyotes for their fourth straight win. Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 29 shots at goal.

DALLAS 4 – Carolina 1…  Roope Hintz recorded his first career hat trick as the Stars breezed past the Hurricanes their fifth straight win. Joe Pavelski added a goal and two assists. Jason Robinson set up two goals. Goalie Braden Holtby made 39 saves.

Anaheim 5 – LOS ANGELES 4 (SO)… The Ducks recovered to outlast the Kings after blowing a three-goal third-period lead. Kevin Shattenkirk and Trevor Zegras scored in the shootout. Cam Fowler and Isac Lundeström scored 29 seconds apart early in the third period.
