Oilers Slip Past Blues

Edmonton 5 – ST. LOUIS 4… Kailer Yamamoto found the net with 28 seconds remaining to send the Oilers past the Blues. Leon Draisaitl had a goal and two assists.  Robert Thomas set up three goals. Connor McDavid added a goal and an assist. Mikko Koskinen made 35 saves at goal.

 

Calgary 4 – OTTAWA 0… Goalie Dan Vladar made 27 saves in his first career shutout as the Flames cruised past the Senators. Elias Lindholm had a goal and an assist. Sean Monahan set up two goals.

BOSTON 5 – Montreal 2… Charlie Coyle and Charlie McAvoy netted two goals apiece n leading the Bruins past the Canadiens in the 750th meeting between the longtime rivals. Goalie Jeremy Swayman stopped 27 shots for Boston.

N.Y. RANGERS 4– New Jersey 3 (SO)… Chris Kreider scored the decisive goal in the seventh round of a shootout to lift the Rangers over the Devils. Kaapo Kaako had a goal and an assist.

WASHINGTON 6 – Pittsburgh 1… The Capitals skated past the Penguins despite playing without three of their top offensive players. Garnet Hathaway scored his third goal in two games. Alex Ovechkin assisted on two goals.

ANAHEIM 5 – Vancouver 1… Trevor Zegras scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as the Ducks won their seventh straight. Troy Terry extended his scoring streak to 14 games. Goalie John Gibson stopped 26 shots.
