St. Louis 3 – WINNIPEG 2 (SO)… Ryan O’Reilly netted the lone goal in the shootout to push the Blues past the Jets. Pavel Buchnevich had a goal and assist. Goalie Jordan Binnington made 39 stops.
BOSTON 3 – Ottawa 2… Patrice Bergeron scored a tiebreaking goal late in the second period and the Bruins held on to edge the short-handed Senators. David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy each had two assists. Ottawa was without five players and an assistant coach who have been placed on the COVID protocol list.
Los Angeles 3 – MONTREAL 2 (OT… Adrian Kempe found the net at 3:39 of overtime to lift the Kings over the Canadiens for their sixth straight win. Brendan Lemieux and Alex Iafallo scored in regulation for Los Angeles. Cal Petersen made 33 saves at goal.
Carolina 2 – TAMPA BAY 1 (OT)… Martin Necas’ goal 3:26 into overtime gave the Hurricanes their 10th win. Teuvo Teravainen netted a tying goal midway through the third period.
NEW JERSEY 7 – Florida 3… The Devils closed with five unanswered goals to put away the Panthers. Andreas Johnsson scored twice. Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 34 shots.
DETROIT 4 – Edmonton 2… Vladislav Namestnikov scored first- and third-period goals as the Red Wings topped the Oilers. Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made 31 saves.
CHICAGO 3 – Pittsburgh 2 (SO)… Jonathan Toews and Alex DeBrincat scored in the tie-breaker as the Blackhawks outlasted the Penguins. Seth Jones and Jujhar Khaira scored in regulation. Marc-Andre Fleury made 42 saves at goal.
San Jose 4 – CALGARY 1… The Sharks scored three unanswered goals in the third period to put away the Flames. Logan Couture netted a go-ahead goal. Tomas Hertl and Jonathan Dahlen scored empty-netters. Brent Burns had two assists. Goalie Adin Hill made 37 saves.
Anaheim 3 – VANCOUVER 2 (OT)… The Ducks recovered to down the Canucks for their fifth straight win after blowing a two-goal third-period lead. Troy Terry scored the winning goal 3:52 into overtime. Cam Fowler and Isac Lundestrom scored in regulation. Goalie John Gibson made 41 saves.
VEGAS 4 – Seattle 2… Shea Theodore and Reilly Smith scored 46 seconds apart early in the third period to give the Golden Knights a hard-fought win over the Kraken. Robin Lehner made 25 saves at goal.
