NFL SCORES…
Cleveland 41 – CINCINNATI 16… Cornerback Denzel Ward’s early 99-yard interception return for a touchdown set the tone as the Browns (5-4) throttled the Bengals (5-4). Baker Mayfield threw two touchdown passes, Nick Chubb ran for 137 yards and two scores.
Denver 30 – DALLAS 16… Jonathon Cooper had two sacks to lead a defense that took a shutout into the final 5 minutes and the Broncos (5-4) handed the Cowboys (6-2) their first loss in seven games. Teddy Bridgewater threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Tim Patrick and ran for another score. Javonte Williams rushed for 111 yards.
MIAMI 17 – Houston 9… The Dolphins (2-7) prevailed over the Texans (1-8) in a matchup of teams on seven-game losing streaks. The two teams combined for nine turnovers. Miami starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett passed for 244 yards and a touchdown.
Atlanta 27 – NEW ORLEANS 25… Younghoe Koo kicked a 29-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Falcons (4-4) over the Saints (5-3). The winning kick was set up by Matt Ryan’s 64-yard completion to Cordarrelle Patterson. Ryan finished with 343 yards and hit Olamide Zaccheaus with a pair of touchdown passes. Ryan also ran for a score.
N.Y. GIANTS 23 – Las Vegas 16… Xavier McKinney returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown early in the second half and picked off another pass late in the contest to help the Giants (3-6) get past the Raiders (5-3). Daniel Jones threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Evan Engram.
New England 24 – CAROLINA 6… The Patriots (5-4) rode their defense to a win over the Panthers (4-5). They came up with interceptions on three consecutive possessions in the second half, including one that J.C. Jackson returned 88 yards for a touchdown. Carolina managed just 78 yards rushing.
JACKSONVILLE 9 – Buffalo 6… Linebacker Josh Allen intercepted a pass, recorded a sack and recovered a fumble to lead the Jaguars (2-6) past the Bills (5-3) in a game that had no touchdowns. Matthew Wright booted a tie-breaking 21-yard field goal with 12:10 remaining.
BALTIMORE 34 – Minnesota 31 (OT)… The Ravens (6-2) rallied from 14 points down in the third quarter to top the Vikings (3-5). Justin Tucker kicked a game-winning 36-yard field goal with 16 seconds left in overtime. Lamar Jackson threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 120 yards on 21 carries.
L.A. Chargers 27 – PHILADELPHIA 24… Dustin Hopkins’ 29-yard field goal with 2 seconds remaining sent the Chargers (5-3) past the Eagles (3-6). Justin Herbert threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score. He completed 32 of 38 passes for 356 yards.
KANSAS CITY 13 – Green Bay 7… The Chiefs (5-4) managed just 237 yards of offense in holding off the Packers (7-2). Patrick Mahomes threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce in the first quarter and Harrison Butker kicked two second-quarter field goals.
Arizona 31 – SAN FRANCISCO 17… James Conner ran for two touchdowns and caught a 45-yard scoring pass from backup quarterback Colt McCoy as the short-handed Cardinals (8-1) handled the 49ers (3-5). Conner finished with 173 yards from scrimmage for Arizona, which was without quarterback Kyler Murray and receivers DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green. Running back Chase Edmonds left in the first quarter with an injury. Marcus Golden was credited with three of the Cardinals’ five sacks.
Tennessee 28 – L.A. RAMS 16… An aggressive defense carried the Titans (7-2) past the Rams (7-2) in a matchup of conference co-leaders. Jeffery Simmons had three of Tennessee’s five sacks. Kevin Biyard returned a second-quarter interception 24 yards for a touchdown.
