Blues Fall To LA

LOS ANGELES 3 – St. Louis 2 (SO)… Arthur Kaliyev scored in the fourth round of a shootout to give the Kings their third straight win. Third-period goals by Arthur Kaliyev and Adrian Kempe gave L.A. a 2-1 lead but St. Louis’ Torey Krug netted a shorthanded goal with 9 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

 

 

Carolina 4 – CHICAGO 3… Jesper Fast and Martin Necas scored back-to-back goals in the third period as the Hurricanes rallied past the Blackhawks to remain unbeaten after nine games. Derek Stepan had a goal and an assist.

EDMONTON 5 – Nashville 2… Leon Draisaitl scored two goals assisted on another to pull a point ahead of teammate Connor McDavid for the NHL scoring lead and the Oilers skated past the Predators. McDavid assisted on both of Draisaitl’s goals. Mikko Koskinen made 31 saves at goal as Edmonton improved to 8-1-0.

Columbus 5 – COLORADO 4 (OT)… Defenseman Jake Bean scored his second goal of the game 1:12 into overtime to lift the Blue Jackets over the Avalanche. 18-year-old Cole Sillinger scored two goals and had an assist for Columbus.
