CHARLOTTE 123 – Indiana 122… P.J. Washington’s two free throws with 4.6 seconds left were the difference in the Hornets’ win over the Pacers. LaMelo Ball made seven 3-pointers on his way to 31 points. He scored 12 points during a 24-0 third-period run.
Chicago 94 – DETROIT 88… Zach LaVine scored 15 of his 34 points in the third quarter to lead the Bulls past the Pistons. Nikola Vucevic finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
NEW YORK 138 – Boston 134 (2OT)… Evan Fournier knocked down the go-ahead 3-pointer in the second overtime and finished with 32 points as the Knicks outlasted the Celtics. Julius Randle pumped in 35 points to lead New York.
Washington 98 – TORONTO 83… The Wizards got 23 points from Bradley Beal and 22 from Montrezl Harrell in downing the Raptors. Kyle Kuzma had 11 points and 15 boards.
MEMPHIS 132 – Cleveland 121… The Grizzlies pulled away in the fourth quarter to down the Cavaliers. Ja Morant led the way with 37 points. De’Anthony Melton tossed in 20 points.
MINNESOTA 124 – Houston 106… Karl-Anthony Towns pumped in 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Timberwolves cruised past the Rockets. Anthony Edwards scored 29 points and D’Angelo Russell added 22.
Philadelphia 117 – NEW ORLEANS 97… The 76ers came up big in the second half to put away the Pelicans. Joel Embiid and Furkan Korkmaz scored 22 points apiece. Embiid also had 12 rebounds.
SAN ANTONIO 123 – Orlando 97… Seven players scored in double figures as the Spurs rolled past the Magic. Kevin Vassell came off the bench to score a game-high 19 points.
UTAH 107 – Oklahoma City 86… The Jazz dominated the Thunder defensively in the blowout win. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points to lead a balanced scoring attack. Rudy Gobert had 16 points and 21 boards.
Denver 110 – PHOENIX 98… The Nuggets erased a 16-point first-half deficit and held the Suns to 40 second-half points in the season-opening victory. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic scored 27 points and brought own 13 rebounds.
Sacramento 124 – PORTLAND 121… Harrison Barnes made eight 3-pointers on his way to 36 points and the Kings fought off the Trail Blazers. De’Aaron Fox added 27 points. Richaun Holmes had 21 points and 11 boards.
