NHL Scores Tuesday 10-19

NHL SCOREBOARD…
BUFFALO 5 – Vancouver 2… Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson scored 23 seconds apart in the third period as the Sabres rallied past the Canucks. Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons each had a goal and an assist. Goalie Craig Anderson made 32 saves.

San Jose 5 – MONTREAL 0… Goalie Adin Hill stopped all 21 shots he faced and the Sharks blanked the Canadiens. Rookie Jonathan Dahlen scored his first two goals in his second career game. Erik Karlsson and Timo Meir each had a goal and two assists.

Florida 4 – TAMPA BAY 1… Aleksander Barkov scored the go-ahead goal 3:40 into the third period and the Panthers put away the Lightning. Sam Reinhart had two assists. Rookie goalie Spencer Knight made 30 saves.

NEW JERSEY 4 – Seattle 2… Rookie Dawson Mercer and Damon Severson scored first-period goals to give the Devils the lead for good in their win over the Kraken. Jonathan Bernier stopped 27 shots at goal.

Dallas 2 – PITTSBURGH 1 (SO)… Joe Pavelski and Alexander Radulov scored in a shootout and the Stars outlasted the Penguins. Michael Raffl scored in regulation. Goalie Braden Holtby made 27 saves.

WASHINGTON 6 – Colorado 3… Evgeny Kuznetsov found the net twice and had an assist as the Capitals doubled up on the Avalanche. Alex Ovechkin scored career goal No. 734 into an empty net.

DETROIT 4 – Columbus 1…  Lucas Raymond scored a tie-breaking goal at 6:38 of the third period and the Red Wings scored twice more to top the Blue Jackets.

N.Y. Islanders 4 – CHICAGO 1… The Islanders breezed past the Blackhawks after spotting them an early lead. Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson scored 23 seconds apart in the third period. Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons each added a goal and an assist. Craig Anderson made 32 saves at goal.

NASHVILLE 2 – Los Angeles 1… Matt Duchene and Tanner Jeannot scored third-period goals and the Predators held on to edge the Kings. Goalie Juuse Saros made 25 saves.

MINNESOTA 6 – Winnipeg 5 (OT)… Joel Eriksson Ek netted a tie-breaking a goal with 59 seconds remaining in regulation and finished off a hat trick with the game-winner on a power play in overtime as the Wild downed the Jets. Mats Zuccarello had two goals and two assists.

EDMONTON 6 – Anaheim 5… The Oilers opened with a three-goal first period and closed with a three-goal third in shooting their way past the Ducks. Leon Draisaitl scored two goals and assisted on two others. Zack Kassian also netted two goals.
