BOSTON 12 – Houston 3… Kyle Schwarber unloaded a grand slam to cap a six-run bottom of the second inning and the Red Sox rolled past the Astros to take a 2-1 lead in the American League Championship Series. Christian Arroyo and J.D. Martinez connected for two-run homers. Rafael Devers added a solo shot. Starter Eduardo Rodriguez went the first six innings, allowing all three Houston runs on a Kyle Tucker homer. Boston sends Nick Pivetta, who went 9-8 in the regular season, to the mound in tonight’s Game 4. Houston counters with Zack Greinke, who went 11-6 during the regular season, in a matchup of right-handers. First pitch is set for 8:08 p.m. Eastern and the game airs on FS1.
NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES RESUMES TONIGHT… The Atlanta Braves visit the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight for Game 3 of the NLCS following two dramatic wins at home to start the series. Walker Buehler, who won 16 of 20 decisions in the regular season, gets the start for the Dodgers. He will be opposed by fellow right-hander Charlie Morton, who was 14-6 during the regular season. Both starters have dropped their only postseason decisions. First pitch is set for 5:08 p.m. Eastern and the game airs on TBS.
