NATIONAL LEAGUE DIVISION SERIES…
ATLANTA 3 – Milwaukee 0… The Braves got a three-run pinch-hit homer from Joc Pederson in the bottom of the fifth inning and never looked back in blanking the Brewers to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five National League Division Series. Starting pitcher Ian Anderson pitched three-hit ball over five innings and four relievers slammed the door. Atlanta will try to wrap up the series at home tonight in Game 4. Gametime is set for 5:15 p.m. Eastern. Neither team had announced a starter.

San Francisco 1 – L.A. DODGERS 0… Nolan Arenado homered off Max Scherzer in the top of the fifth inning and the Giants made it stand in edging the Dodgers to take a 2-1 lead in the NLDS. Starter Alex Wood and three relievers combined on a five-hit shutout. Camilo Doval retired the final six batters in order to get the save. L.A. will try to even the series at home in tonight’s Game 4. First pitch is scheduled for 9:07 p.m. Eastern.

AMERICAN LEAGUE DIVISION SERIES…
BOSTON 6 – Tampa Bay 5… The Red Sox recovered to down the Rays after blowing a 5-0 fifth-inning lead and wrapped up the series in four games. Kiké Hernandez’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning scored Danny Santana with the winning run. Rafael Devers opened the scoring with a three-run homer in the third. Boston advances to the American League Championship Series against the Chicago White Sox-Houston winner in the ALDS.

Houston – CHI. WHITE SOX (ppd)… Rain in Chicago forced postponement of yesterday’s Game 4 of the AL Division Series between the Astros and White Sox with Houston leading 2-1. The game was moved to today with announced starting pitchers Carlos Rodón (13-5 regular season) for Chicago and (Lance McCullers, Jr., 13-5 regular season) for Houston. Gametime is 2:07 p.m. Eastern.
