NFL SCOREBOARD…
Washington 34 – ATLANTA 30… Taylor Heinicke’s improvised 30-yard touchdown pass to J.D. McKissic with 33 seconds remaining gave Washington (2-2) a come-from-behind win over the Falcons (1-3). Heinicke completed 23 of 33 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns

BUFFALO 40 – Houston 0… The Bills (3-1) rode their defense to a blowout of the Texans (1-3). They limited Houston to 109 yards of offense and forced five turnovers on their way to their second shutout in three weeks.

CHICAGO 24 – Detroit 14… David Montgomery ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns before leaving with a knee injury and the Bears (2-2) got past the Lions (0-4). His 4- and 9-yard scoring runs came on Chicago’s first two possessions.

DALLAS 36 – Carolina 28… Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes, Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 143 yards on 20 carries and the Cowboys (3-1) handled the Panthers (3-1). Dallas’ defense recorded five sacks.

Indianapolis 27 – MIAMI 17… Carson Wentz found Mo Alie-Cox with a pair of touchdown tosses, Jonathan Taylor rushed for 103 yards and a score and the Colts (1-3) downed the Dolphins (1-3). Wentz completed 24 of 32 passes for 228 yards.

Cleveland 14 – MINNESOTA 7… The Browns (3-1) used a ball-control offense to grind out a win over the Vikings (1-3). Nick Chubb carried 21 times for 100 yards. Kareem Hunt had 14 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown.

N.Y. Giants 27 – NEW ORLEANS 21 (OT)… The Giants (1-3) came from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to outlast the Saints (2-2). They won it on Saquon Barkley’s 6-yard touchdown run in overtime. Barkley caught Daniel Jones’ 54-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to launch New York’s comeback. Graham Gano booted a game-tying 48-yard field goal with 31 seconds left in regulation.

N.Y. JETS 27 – Tennessee 24 (OT)… Matt Ammendola’s 22-yard field goal in overtime gave the Jets (1-3) the lead and they escaped with a win over the Titans (2-2) when Tennessee kicker Randy Bullock missed a potential tying 49-yarder with 15 seconds left. New York’s defense sacked Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill seven times.

Kansas City 42 – PHILADELPHIA 30… Patrick Mahomes hit Tyreek Hill with three of his five touchdown passes and the Chiefs (2-2) overwhelmed the Eagles (1-3). Hill finished with 11 catches for 186 yards. Kansas City coach Andy Reid returned to Philadelphia and notched his 100th career win with the Chiefs, becoming the first coach in NFL history to win 100 games with two teams. Reid won 140 victories as coach of the Eagles.

Arizona 37 – L.A. RAMS 20… Kyler Murray threw for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns in leading the Cardinals (4-0) past the Rams (3-1). A.J. Green caught a 41-yard TD pass. James Conner scored on two short runs. Chase Edmonds rushed for 120 yards.

Seattle 28 – SAN FRANCISCO 21… Russell Wilson ran 16 yards for a touchdown and threw a 13-yard scoring pass to Freddie Swain in a span of less than a minute in the third quarter and the Seahawks (2-2) held off the 49ers (2-2). Wilson threw 12 yards to DK Metcalf for a second-quarter score. Alex Collins added a 14-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter

Baltimore 23 – DENVER 7… Lamar Jackson threw for 316 yards and the Ravens (3-1) dealt the Broncos (3-1) their first loss of the season. Marquis Brown made a diving 49-yard touchdown pass.

GREEN BAY 27 – Pittsburgh 17… Aaron Rodgers hit Randall Cobb with two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Packers (3-1) rolled past the Steelers (1-3). Rodgers went 20 of 36 for 248 yards.

Tampa Bay 19 – NEW ENGLAND 17… Ryan Succop’s fourth field goal of the game came from 48 yards out with less than 2 minutes remaining and pushed the Buccaneers (3-1) past the Patriots (1-3). Tom Brady passed for 269 yards in his return to Foxboro.
