NATIONAL LEAGUE
L.A. DODGERS 5 – Arizona 3… Julio Urías (18-3) held the Diamondbacks to two runs on three hits over five innings on his way to earning his major league-leading 18th victory and the Dodgers closed within 1-1/2 games of first-place San Francisco in the NL West. Gavin Lux knocked in two runs with a pair of singles. Max Muncy homered with the bases empty.

San Diego 9 – SAN FRANCISCO 6… The Padres ended the Giants’ nine-game winning streak and won for the first time in six games. Jurickson Profar hit a two-run homer. Adam Frazier went 4-for-5 with a two-run double. Fernando Tatis, Jr., also had four hits and scored twice.

St. Louis 11 – N.Y. METS 4… The Cardinals rolled past the Mets for their fifth straight win. Harrison Bader homered and knocked in three runs. Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado and Edmundo Sosa also went deep. St. Louis remained a game ahead of San Diego in the race for the NL’s second wild card.

PHILADELPHIA 6 – Chi. Cubs 5… Andrew Knapp scored the winning run on a passed ball in the bottom of the ninth inning and the Phillies pulled within 3-1/2 games of first-place Atlanta in the NL East. Freddy Galvis homered with a runner aboard for Philadelphia. J.T. Realmuto went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and an RBI single.

Colorado 3 – ATLANTA 2 (10 innings)… Raimel Tapia singled home Colton Welker in the top of the 10th inning and the Rockies held on to outlast the Braves. Starting pitcher Anthony Senzatela bunted home a run and Charlie Blackmon drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth for Colorado.

Miami 8 – WASHINGTON 6… Jesus Sanchez’s second two-run homer of the day capped a four-run top of the ninth inning that carried the Marlins past the Nationals. Bryan De La Cruz homered to lead of the eighth.

PITTSBURGH 5 – Cincinnati 4… Wilmer Difo ran home on a Colin Moran groundout in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the Pirates past the Reds. Yoshi Tsutsugo drove in two runs with a single and a double.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
TORONTO 6 – Tampa Bay 3… Bo Bichette belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and finished with five RBIs in leading the Blue Jays past the Rays. Vladimir Guerrero, Jr., doubled twice and scored twice. Robbie Ray (12-5) gave up a run on five hits and struck out 13 over seven innings.

Boston 9 – SEATTLE 4 (10 innings)… Kyle Schwarber and Christian Vazquez drove in two runs apiece during a six-run top of the 10th inning and the Red Sox outlasted the Mariners. Hunter Renfroe homered for Boston.

N.Y. Yankees 4 – BALTIMORE 3…  Brett Gardner’s bloop two-run single in the top of the ninth inning pushed the Yankees past the Orioles for their third straight win. Gio Urshela homered with a runner aboard in the third.

Cleveland 12 – MINNESOTA 3…  Bobby Bradley doubled home a run and smacked a two-run homer in the Indians’ romp over the Twins. Oscar Mercado and Franmil Reyes also went deep. Cal Quantrill (6-3) allowed three unearned runs on only two hits over 6-2/3 innings.

Houston 7 – TEXAS 2… Jake Meyers and Marwin Gonzalez hit back-to-back homers during a three-run top of the second inning and the Astros never looked back in their win over the Rangers. Kyle Tucker had three hits, including a solo homer. Jose Urquidy (7-3) allowed a run on two hits over six innings.

Oakland 12 – KANSAS CITY 10… Josh Harrison drove in three runs with a pair of singles, Matt Olson hit a two-run homer and the Athletics outslugged the Royals. Elvis Andrus had four hits, including a two-run single, and scored twice. Oakland ended a three-game skid and remains 3 1/2 games back of Toronto, Boston and New York in the AL wild-card chase.

L.A. Angels 3 – CHI. WHITE SOX 2… Brandon Marsh went 3-for-4 and his tie-breaking solo homer in the top of the eighth inning proved decisive as the Angels clipped the White Sox.

INTERLEAGUE
DETROIT 4 – Milwaukee 1… Dustin Garneau homered and drove in two runs, rookie Matt Manning (4-6) combined with the bullpen on a three-hitter and the Tigers topped the Brewers. Dustin Garneau’s sacrifice fly in the fifth inning gave Detroit the lead for good.
