N.Y. METS 6 – Miami 5… Michael Conforto’s two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning capped a five-run rally that lifted the Mets over the Marlins in the resumption of a suspended game. Brandon Nimmo sparked the uprising with a two-run homer.

N.Y. METS 3 – Miami 1 (7 innings)… Michael Conforto homered with a runner aboard and Jeff McNeill doubled home a run as the Mets scored all three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and held off the Marlins in a regularly scheduled contest.

Philadelphia 12 – WASHINGTON 6… Bryce Harper delivered a go-ahead single during a six-run top of the sixth inning and the Phillies put away the Nationals. Rafael Marchán, Andrew McCutchen and Brad Miller smacked two-run homers.

San Diego 3 – ARIZONA 0… Blake Snell (7-6) was removed after seven no-hit innings and two Padres relievers completed the shutout of the Diamondbacks. Manny Machado homered with a runner aboard for San Diego, which pulled into a tie with Cincinnati for the second NL wild-card spot.

Milwaukee 6 – SAN FRANCISCO 2… Brandon Woodruff (9-7) held the Giants to a run on five hits over six innings and the Brewers cruised to the win. Lorenzo Cain homered to lead off the top of the second inning and singled home a run in the third. Omar Narvaez knocked in two runs with a pair of singles.

L.A. DODGERS 3 – Atlanta 2… The Dodgers overcame the Braves after spotting them an early two-run lead. Corey Seager doubled home Mookie Betts with a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Betts put L.A. on the board with a fourth inning homer.

St. Louis – CINCINATI (ppd)… Rain in Cincinnati forced postponement of last night’s Cardinals-Reds game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Baltimore 4 – TORONTO 2… Ramón Urías hit a go-ahead two-run double in the top of the sixth inning to help push the Orioles past the Blue Jays. Keegan Akin (2-8) allowed just a run on two hits over five innings.

Oakland 9 – DETROIT 3… Matt Chapman connected for a tie-breaking, two-run homer in the top of the third inning and added a solo shot in the ninth in the Athletics’ thrashing of the Tigers. Mark Canha homered with a runner aboard. Josh Harrison had three hits, including a two-run single.

TAMPA BAY 8 – Boston 5… The Rays slugged their way past the Red Sox for their ninth straight win. Wander Franco’s two-run single sparked a six-run bottom of the third inning. Yandy Diaz capped the uprising with a two-run double. Randy Arozarena homered for Tampa Bay. Ryan Yarbrough (8-4) allowed two runs on five hits over six innings.

Cleveland 7 – KANSAS CITY 3… Amed Rosario became the first player on record to go 5 for 5 with five RBIs, an inside-the-park homer and an over-the-fence home run in leading the Indians past the Royals. Bobby Bradley homered with a runner aboard. Zach Plesac (9-4) pitched two-hit ball over seven scoreless innings.

L.A. ANGELS 6 – N.Y. Yankees 4… Phil Gosselin stroked a two-run single and Shohei Ohtani stole home during a three-run bottom of the fifth inning that carried the Angels past the Yankees. Jared Walsh blasted a three-run homer in the fourth.

SEATTLE 4 – Houston 0… Abraham Toro’s grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning sent the Mariners past the Astros. The game featured a duel between Seattle starter Yusei Kikuchi and his counterpart Lance McCullers, Jr., but neither got a decision.

INTERLEAGUE
TEXAS 4 – Colorado 3… Nathaniel Lowe had three hits, including a solo homer and an RBI single, as the Rangers held off the Rockies. Leody Taveras also circled the bases for Texas.

Chi. Cubs 3 – MINNESOTA 1… Solo homers by Frank Schwindel and Ian Happ powered the Cubs past the Twins. Five Chicago pitchers blanked Minnesota over the final eight innings.

CHI. WHITE SOX 4 – Pittsburgh 2… Brian Goodwin drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the White Sox the lead for good in their win over the Pirates. Yasmani Grandal homered to lead off the bottom of the second inning and Jose Abreu went deep in the third,
