Philadelphia 7 – WASHINGTON 5… J.T. Realmuto stroked a tie-breaking two-run single during a five-run top of the ninth inning that carried the Phillies past the Nationals. Odubel Herrera homered to lead off the fifth.
MIAMI 6 – N.Y. Mets 3… Lewis Brinson unloaded a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning and added a run-scoring grounder as the Marlins cruised past the Mets.
MILWAUKEE 6 – Pittsburgh 2… Brewers starter Eric Lauer (4-4) pitched three-hit ball over five scoreless innings. Eduardo Escobar tripled home a run and blasted a three-run homer.
San Francisco 11 – ARIZONA 8 (10 innings)… The Giants recovered to outlast the Diamondbacks after blowing a three-run seventh-inning lead. Buster Posey doubled home a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning and came around to score on Steven Duggar’s single. Alex Dickerson cracked a grand slam. Mike Yastrzemski and Wilmer Flores also went deep.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Cleveland 5 – TORONTO 2 (10 innings)… Amed Rosario singled home a tie-breaking run and Jose Ramirez followed with a two-run homer as the Indians outlasted the Blue Jays.
Baltimore 7 – N.Y. YANKEES 1… The Orioles got solo homers from Cedric Mullins, Austin Hays, Ryan Mountcastle and Ramon Urias in downing the Yankees. Jorge López (3-12) allowed just a run on a hit over six innings.
SEATTLE 8 – Tampa Bay 2… The Mariners pushed across five runs in the top of the third inning and coasted past the Rays. Ty France went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and three RBIs.
TEXAS 4 – L.A. Angels 1… Dane Dunning (5-7) limited the Angels to a run on three hits over five innings. Brock Holt stole home with a go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning and lifted a sacrifice fly in the seventh.
