NATIONAL LEAGUE
L.A. Dodgers 6 – MIAMI 1… Julio Urías (11-3) held the Marlins to a run on five hits over seven innings and the Dodgers salvaged the finale of the four-game series. Chris Taylor knocked in two runs with a single and a double.

Colorado 9 – ARIZONA 3… Dom Nuñez went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the top of the sixth inning as the Rockies ripped the Diamondbacks. Yonathan Daza doubled home two runs.

Philadelphia 8 – CHI. CUBS 0… Zach Eflin (4-6) pitched five-hit ball over six innings and got help from three relievers in shutting out the Cubs. Brad Miller homered three times and knocked in five runs. Didi Gregorius added a two-run shot.

MILWAUKEE 5 – Cincinnati 3… Avisail Garcia opened the scoring with an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning and connected for a tie-breaking two-run homer in the eighth to lead the Brewers past the Reds. Keston Hiura doubled home a tying run in the sixth.

SAN DIEGO 9 – Washington 8… The Padres erased an 8-0 fourth-inning deficit to stun the Nationals. Trent Grisham singled home Tommy Pham with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Relief pitcher Daniel Camarena unloaded a grand slam to highlight a seven-run fourth. Fernando Tatis Jr. homered to lead off the big inning and capped it with a run-scoring single.

Pittsburgh – N.Y. METS (ppd)… Rain in New York forced postponement of last night’s Pirates-Mets game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Oakland 2 – HOUSTON 1… Frankie Montas (8-7) held the Astros to a run on five hits and struck out 10 over 6-2/3 innings and three Athletics relievers shut them down the rest of the way. Matt Olson doubled home a run in the top of the first inning and scored on Jed Lowrie’s single.

SEATTLE 4 – N.Y. Yankees 0.. Logan Gilbert (3-2) limited the Yankees to one hit over seven innings and got help from two relievers in the blanking of the Yankees. Dylan Moore homered with a runner aboard for the Mariners. Kyle Seager and Mitch Haniger smacked solo shots.

CLEVELAND 7 – Kansas City 5… The Indians used a late power surge to upend the Royals and snap a nine-game losing streak. Roberto Perez blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning and Franmil Reyes added a walkoff three-run blast in the ninth. Bobby Bradley also went deep.

MINNESOTA 5 – Detroit 3… Miguel Sanó hit a game-tying homer to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning and the Twins scored twice more to get past the Tigers. Ryan Jeffers also went deep.

Toronto – BALTIMORE (ppd)… Rain in Baltimore forced postponement of last night’s Blue Jays-Orioles game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on September 11.
