MLB Scores Tuesday 6-15

NATIONAL LEAGUE
N.Y. METS 3 – Chi. Cubs 2… Pete Alonso drove in all three Mets runs with a two-run single and a sacrifice fly. Starter Taijuan Walker (6-2) held the Cubs to two runs n five hits and struck out 12 over seven innings.

WASHINGTON 8 – Pittsburgh 1… Yan Gomes’ grand slam highlighted the Nationals’ romp over the Pirates. Trea Turner went 4-for-5 with an RBI triple. Patrick Corbin (4-5) gave up a run on eight hits over 8-1/3 innings.

Cincinnati 2 – MILWAUKEE 1 (10 innings)… The Reds scored twice in the top of the 10th inning without a hit and held on outlast the Brewers. Eugenio Suárez was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Kyle Farmer lifted a sacrifice fly.

ST. LOUIS 2 – Miami 1… Paul Goldschmidt stroked a game-tying RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning and led off the ninth with a walkoff homer as the Cardinals edged the Marlins.

COLORADO 8 – San Diego 4… The Rockies doubled up on the Padres after spotting them a four-run lead. Ryan McMahon homered, tripled and drove in four runs. Raimel Tapia hit a pair of run-scoring doubles.

SAN FRANCISCO 9 – Arizona 8… The Giants erased a 7-0 second-inning deficit in handing the Diamondbacks their 21st straight road loss. Mike Yastrzemski completed the comeback with a grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning. Steven Duggar homered with a runner aboard for San Francisco.

L.A. DODGERS 5 – Philadelphia 3… Mookie Betts hit a go-ahead homer to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning and added an RBI single in the eighth to push the Dodgers past the Phillies. Zack McKinstry had a couple of hits and an RBI.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
N.Y. Yankees 6 – TORONTO 5… Clint Frazier came through with a tie-breaking pinch-hit RBI double in the top of the eighth inning and the Yankees made it stand in edging the Blue Jays. Gary Sanchez and Chris Gittens also went deep.

CLEVELAND 7 – Baltimore 2… Eddie Rosario’s two-run double capped a five-run bottom of the fourth inning and the Indians went on to extend the Orioles’ road losing streak to 17 games. Bobby Bradley singled home a run and homered.

Detroit 4 – KANSAS CITY 3… The Tigers held off the Royals and handed them their fifth straight loss. Jonatan Schoop homered with a runner aboard. Miguel Cabrera had a couple of hits, including an RBI single.

CHI. WHITE SOX 3 – Tampa Bay 0… Dallas Keuchel (6-1) pitched four-hit ball over seven innings and got help from two White Sox relievers in the blanking of the Rays. Danny Mendick singled home a run and Adam Engel homered for Chicago.

HOUSTON 6 – Texas 3 (10 innings)… Jose Altuve unloaded a grand slam in the top of the 10th inning and the Astros put away the Rangers. Carlos Correa tied the game with a two-out solo homer in the ninth.

OAKLAND 6 – L.A. Angels 4… Elvis Andrus double home two runs and Sean Murphy homered as the Athletics got past the Angels. Frankie Montas (7-6) allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings.

SEATTLE 10 – Minnesota 0… Chris Flexen (6-3) pitched four-hit ball over eight innings and got plenty of support in the Mariners’ blanking of the Twins. J.P. Crawford, Luis Torrens and Ty France hit solo homers. Shed Long Jr. legged out a bases-clearing triple.

INTERLEAGUE
Boston 10 – ATLANTA 8… Alex Verdugo connected for a tie-breaking three-run homer in the top of the eighth inning and the Red Sox held off the Braves. Rafael Devers also hit a three-run blast. Hunter Renfroe and Xavier Bogaerts smacked solo blasts.
