NATIONAL LEAGUE
WASHINGTON 5 – San Francisco 0… Joe Ross pitched five-hit ball over eight innings and reliever Sam Clay completed the shutout of the Giants. Kyle Schwarber homered twice and knocked in four runs for the Nationals.

Atlanta 6 – MIAMI 4… Austin Riley stroked a two-run single and homered in leading the Braves past the Marlins. Ender Inciarte also went deep.

CINCINNATI 6 – Colorado 2… Eugenio Suárez homered with a runner aboard and Jesse Winker doubled home two runs as the Reds completed a series sweep of the Rockies.

San Diego 7 – N.Y. METS 3… Fernando Tatis Jr. unloaded a tie-breaking grand slam in the top of the seventh inning to help power the Padres past the Mets. Tommy Pham and Manny Machado added solo blasts. Chris Paddack (3-5) allowed two runs on six hits over six innings.

MILWAUKEE 5 – Pittsburgh 2… Avisail Garcia cracked a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Brewers finished off a sweep of the Pirates.

CHI. CUBS 2 – St. Louis 0… Zack Davies (4-3) pitched two-hit ball over 6-2/3 innings and got help from two relievers in shutting out the Cardinals. Eric Sogard scored an unearned run and Anthony Rizzo singled home a run as the Cubs scored both runs in the bottom of the third inning.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
TAMPA BAY 7 – Baltimore 1… Randy Arozarena connected for his first career grand slam and the Rays handed the Orioles their 15th straight road loss. Four Tampa Bay relievers held Baltimore hitless over seven innings.

Chi. White Sox 4 – DETROIT 1… Carlos Rodón (6-2) took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and the White Sox breezed past the Tigers to complete a sweep of the series. Leury Garcia had a couple of hits and drove in two runs.

Seattle 6 – CLEVELAND 2… Kyle Seager and Jake Fraley homered to help the Mariners build a 5-0 lead and they coasted past the Indians. J.P. Crawford had three hits, including a run-scoring single. Logan Gilbert (2-2) allowed a run on four hits over 6-2/3 innings.

Toronto 18 – BOSTON 4… Teoscar Hernández belted a pair of three-run homers to lead the Blue Jays in their battering of the Red Sox. Bo Bichette, Cavan Biggio, Lourdes Gurriel, Jr., Marcus Semien, Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. and Rowdy Tellez also went deep.

Houston 14 – MINNESOTA 3.. The Astros used a 20-hit attack to throttle the Twins. Michael Brantley went 4-for-5 and knocked in four runs. Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez hit two-run homers. Chas McCormick added a solo shot. Framber Valdez (3-0) surrendered two runs on five hits over seven innings. One of the runs he allowed was unearned.

OAKLAND 6 – Kansas City 3… Matt Olson hit a pair of solo homers and Matt Chapman also homered with the bases empty as the Athletics doubled up on the Royals. Mark Canha singled home one run and double in another. Chris Bassitt (7-2) gave up two runs on five hits over 5-2/3 innings.

INTERLEAGUE
PHILADELPHIA 7 – N.Y. YANKEES 0… Aaron Nola limited the Yankees to three hits over 7-2/3 innings and two Phillies relievers preserved the shutout. Jean Segura singled home a pair of runs. J.T. Realmuto singled twice and drove in two runs.

L.A. Angels 10 – ARIZONA 3… Max Stassi and Jared Walsh hit two-run homers as the Angels dealt the Diamondbacks their 10th straight loss. Walsh also doubled home a run. Patrick Sandoval (1-2) allowed two runs on four hits over six innings.

L.A. DODGERS 5 – Texas 3… The Dodgers cruised into the ninth inning with a 5-0 lead and held off the Rangers. Mookie Betts smacked a solo homer. Zack McKinstry stroked a two-run double. Walker Buehler (6-0) held the Rangers to five hits over six scoreless innings.
