NATIONAL LEAGUE
L.A. Dodgers 6 – PITTSBURGH 3 (8 innings)… Julio Urías worked six innings on the mound and singled home a pair of runs in the Dodgers’ win over the Marlins. Mookie Betts smacked a solo homer in the top of the first inning. Zack McKinstry lifted a sacrifice fly and singled home a run.

Milwaukee 7 – CINCINNATI 2… Jace Peterson knocked in three runs with a single and a double as the Pirates cruised past the Reds. Daniel Vobelbach homered with a runner aboard. 

PHILADELPHIA 4 – Atlanta 3 (10 innings)… The Phillies came up with three runs in the bottom of the 10th inning to upend the Braves. Jean Segura stroked a game-winning two-run single after opening the scoring with an eighth-inning RBI double.  

MIAMI 11 – Colorado 4… Adam Duvall, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Starling Marte homered during a six-run bottom of the second inning and the Marlins never looked back in their pounding of the Rockies. Trevor Rogers (7-3) allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings.

San Francisco – WASHINGTON (ppd)… Rain in the nation’s capital forced postponement of last night’s Giants-Nationals game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
DETROIT 8 – Seattle 3… Robbie Grossman hit a two-run homer and the Tigers got solo shots from Jonathan Schoop and Jake Rogers in downing the Mariners. Grossman also singled home a run.

BOSTON 12 – Houston 8… J.D. Martinez drilled his 13th homer, Christian Arroyo blasted a three-run homer and the Red Sox outslugged the Astros to salvage the series finale. A pair of dropped fly balls contributed to a five-run bottom of the sixth inning. 

CHI. WHITE SOX 5 – Toronto 2… Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run homer to cap a three-run bottom of the first inning and the White Sox handled the Blue Jays. Adam Engel also went deep.

MINNESOTA 7 – N.Y. Yankees 5… Josh Donaldson and Nelson Cruz cracked two-run homers in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the Twins past the Yankees. Cruz also lifted a sacrifice fly and doubled home a run.
