Dorothy Ruth Ann Rosebrook, 87, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
Dorothy was born on December 9, 1933 to Alvin and Helen Knaack in Waterloo, Wisconsin. On March 29, 1952 she married Thomas Edward Rosebrook in Waukeangan, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2010. Also preceding her were her parents, one brother, Clarence Knaack, two sisters, Lorraine and Florence, and two children in infancy. She is survived by three sons; Edward Rosebrook of Princeton, Wisconsin, Daniel Rosebrook of Wisconsin, and Andrew Rosebrook of Wisconsin, two daughters; Ruth Rosebrook ( Leo Miller) of Princeton, Missouri and Patricia Burns and fiancé Penny Taylor of Milan, Missouri, six grandchildren; Ian Rosebrook, Shanon (Kristen) Yager, Jennifer Weihert (Steve Haberkorn), Melissa Schmitt (Greg), Brandon Rosebrook (Rebecca) and Tony Burns, great-grandchildren; Hannah Weihert, Desirae Weihert, Tyler Weihert, Carson Rosebrook, Clayton Rosebrook, Liam Rosebrook, Vincent Schmitt, Isabella Schmitt, Haisley Rosebrook, Miah Burns, Silas Yager and Lillian Yager, great great-grandchildren; Paisley Jo Pastorius, Aurora Lynn Pastorius and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy grew up in Wisconsin before moving to the Milan area in 1996. She was an active member in the Milan Christian Church. Dorothy enjoyed doing wordsearches and reading. She also did many arts and crafts, but most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 5th, 2021, at Schoene Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, Missouri with visitation one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Newtown Cemetery in Newtown, Missouri.
