ATLANTA 5 – Washington 1… Dansby Swanson homered with a runner aboard to cap a four-run bottom of the sixth inning and the Braves cruised past the Nationals. Ozzie Albies went 3-for-4 with a pair of run-scoring singles.
PITTSBURGH 5 – Miami 3… Jacob Stallings stroked a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the eighth inning to send the Pirates past the Marlins. Bryan Reynolds homered to lead off the fourth.
MILWAUKEE 7 – Arizona 4… Christian Yelich cracked a three-run homer and the Brewers got solo shots from Jackie Bradley Jr., Luis Urias and Avisail Garcia in downing the Diamondbacks. The loss was Arizona’s 14th straight on the road.
Cincinnati 4 – ST. LOUIS 2… Jesse Winker hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the second inning and the Reds cruised past the Cardinals. Vladimir Gutierrez (1-1) overcame a rough start to record his first major-league win.
SAN FRANCISCO 7 – Chi. Cubs 2… Brandon Crawford singled home a run in the bottom of the second inning and blasted a tie-breaking three-run homer in the fifth to lead the Giants past the Cubs. Anthony DeSclafani (5-2) surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings.
SAN DIEGO 4 – N.Y. Mets 3… Yu Darvish (6-1) blanked the Mets over five innings and the Padres hung for the win. Fernando Tatis hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning and raced home with what turned out to be the decisive run on a wild pitch in the sixth.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Tampa Bay 9 – N.Y. YANKEES 2… Austin Meadows homered with a runner aboard and stroked a bases-clearing double as the Rays pounded the Yankees. Ryan Yarbrough (3-3) allowed two runs on six hits in the complete-game victory.
Boston 5 – HOUSTON 1… Martin Pérez scattered six hits over 7-2/3 scoreless innings and the Red Sox breezed past the Astros. Christian Arroyo hit a three-run homer and Xavier Bogaerts doubled home two runs for Boston..
CHI. WHITE SOX 4 – Detroit 1… Yoan Moncada, Jake Lamb, Yasmani Grandal and Tim Anderson hits solo homers to power the White Sox past the Royals. Lance Lynn (7-1) allowed just a run on four hits over six innings.
KANSAS CITY 6 – Minnesota 5… Salvador Perez hit a pair of solo homers and Hunter Dozier added another as the Royals fought off the Twins. Pinch-runner Jarrod Dyson scored a go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a pair of errors by Minnesota center-fielder Gilberto Celestino.
Seattle 6 – L.A. ANGELS 2… The Mariners rallied past the Angels after spotting them an early two-run lead. Jake Fraley connected for a go-ahead three-run homer in the top of the fourth inning. Kyle Seager capped the scoring with a solo shot in the seventh.
INTERLEAGUE
COLORADO 11 – Texas 6… Charlie Blackmon homered and doubled home two runs as the Rockies dealt the Rangers their ninth straight loss. Brendan Rodgers also knocked in three runs. Austin Gomber (4-0) pitched three-hit ball over six scoreless innings.
