Carolyn Jean (Gross) Snider

Carolyn Jean (Gross) Snider, 83, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home under the care of Hospice of Northeast Missouri.

The daughter of the late Floy Foster and Naomi (Ratliff) Gross, she was born September 19, 1937 in Unionville, Missouri. In December of 1956 Carolyn was united in marriage to Ronald Charles Snider who preceded her in death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her son, Eddy Lee Snider.

Carolyn is survived by one son, David Foster Snider of Queen City, MO; four grandchildren, Kevin (Diana) Skaggs, Emily Gillaspy, Kody (Coby) Snider, and Kasey (Lacy) Snider; eleven great-grandchildren, Ashlee Youngman, Ashton Snider, Aden Snider, Aaren Snider, Hailey Snider, Allie Snider, Riley Phillips, Tyler Yaden, Tray Yaden, Jonathon Thrailkill, and Michael Fields; one great-great grandchildren, Ginny Thrailkill, as well as one aunt, Lois Hill of Greentop, MO.

Carolyn was a graduate from Queen City High School with the Class of 1955. She worked thirty-five years for Hollister, Inc. in Kirksville.

Carolyn was a member of Hazel Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was also active in the quilt guild and song birds choir.

Public visitation will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Queen City Cemetery with Elder Dillon Thurman officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ron Worley, Eric Jackson, Curtis Snider, Clay Snider, Carl Snider, and R.D. Homer.

Memorial donations in memory of Carolyn may be made to Hazel Creek Primitive Baptist Church and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
