Our KIRX/KRXL/KTUF Jamco Awards Female Athlete Of The Year is Cady Pauley from the Milan Lady Wildcats. Cady is a standout in three sports at Milan High School. In softball, she was named first team all Grand River Conference, first team all District 6 in Class 2, and all region first team pitcher. On the season Cady compiled an ERA of 1.90, 238 strikeouts, and at the plate had a batting average of .444 and a .624 on base percentage. Cady really excelled in basketball. The junior scored 810 total points for 31.2 points per game, and broke the all-time Milan scoring record which had been 1,757 points, reaching the 2,000 point club for her career. Pauley hit 125 three pointers, averaged 6.8 rebounds per game, totaled 104 assists and 106 steals. She helped Milan win a district championship and a sectional championship reaching the state quarterfinals. Cady was named to the Class 3 all-state team, and the Class 3 girls player of the year. She was a unanimous first team all Grand River Conference selection, all district 16, and first team all northeast district. Cady has dominated in the discuss and shot put this Spring, winning the conference championship in both events. Pauley has committed to play basketball at Missouri State University in Springfield.
