NATIONAL LEAGUE
N.Y METS 4 – Arizona 2… The Mets made it five straight wins by downing the Diamondbacks. Jacob deGrom (3-2) held Arizona to a run on one hit before leaving after five innings with tightness in his side.

Milwaukee 2 – MIAMI 1 (10 innings)… Tyrone Taylor singled home pinch-runner Pablo Reyes with a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning and the Brewers made it stand in outlasting the Marlins. Daniel Vogelbach homered to lead off the fourth.

ST. LOUIS 2 – Colorado 0… Adam Wainwright (2-3) pitched three-hit ball over 8-1/3 innings and reliever Ryan Helsley completed the blanking of the Rockies. Nolan Arenado provided all the offense the Cardinals needed with a homer to lead off the bottom of the second inning.

Pittsburgh 6 – CHI. CUBS 5… Wilmer Difo went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and the Pirates held off the Cubs. Starter Tyler Anderson (3-3) pitched eight solid innings.

San Diego 11 – SAN FRANCISCO 1… The Padres pounded out 16 hits in their dismantling of the Giants. Jake Cronenworth and Fernando Tatis Jr. hit two-run homers.

ATLANTA 6 – Philadelphia 1… Dansby Swanson’s two-run homer capped a four-run bottom of the first inning and the Braves breezed past the Phillies. Freddie Freeman went 3-for-3 with a solo homer and RBI single. Huascar Ynoa (4-1) surrendered a run on four hits over six innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Boston 4 – BALTIMORE 3… Hunter Renfroe’s solo homer in the top of the eighth inning proved to be the difference. Rafael Devers also went deep for the Red Sox.

Chi. White Sox 9 – KANSAS CITY 3… Yoan Mercedes and Jose Abreu knocked in three runs apiece as the White Sox ripped the Royals. Starter Lucas Giolito (2-3) allowed a run on four hits over five innings.

HOUSTON 7 – Toronto 4… Kyle Tucker legged out an RBI triple and belted a three-run homer to lead the Astros past the Blue Jays. Jose Altuve homered to lead off the bottom of the fourth inning.

TEXAS 10 – Seattle 2… Adolis Garcia produced a pair of run-scoring singles and added a three-run homer as the Rangers pounded the Mariners. Charlie Culberson homered. Nick Solak drove in three runs.

Tampa Bay 4 – OAKLAND 3… Willy Adames connected for a game-tying three-run homer in the top of the fifth inning and Mike Brosseau added a go-ahead blast in the sixth as the Rays rallied past the Athletics to avoid a series sweep.

Minnesota – DETROIT (ppd.)… Rain in Detroit forced postponement of yesterday’s Twins-Tigers game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 16.

INTERLEAGUE
N.Y. YANKEES 3 – Washington 2… Giancarlo Stanton singled home Tyler Wade in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Yankees over the Nationals. Greyber Torres homered to lead off the sixth.

L.A. ANGELS 2 – L.A. Dodgers 1… Jared Walsh ripped a go-ahead two-run double in the bottom of the inning and the Angels hung on to beat the Dodgers. Six Angel pitchers combined on a four-hitter.

Cincinnati – CLEVELAND (ppd.)… Rain in Cleveland forced postponement of yesterday’s Reds-Indians game. It has been rescheduled for August 9.
