NATIONAL LEAGUE
PHILADELPHIA 2 – Milwaukee 0… Zack Wheeler (3-2) tossed a three-hit shutout and the Phillies completed a four-game sweep of the Brewers. Alex Bohm homered in the bottom of the seventh to break a scoreless tie and Rhys Hoskins added an RBI double in the eighth.

N.Y. METS 4 – St. Louis 1… The Mets pushed across three runs on bases-loaded walks to down the Cardinals. Starter Taijuan Walker (2-1) allowed just one hit over seven scoreless innings.

Atlanta 3 – WASHINGTON 2… The Braves scored all three runs in the top of the fourth inning and held on to edge the Nationals. Ehire Adrianza stroked a two-run single. Drew Smyly allowed just an unearned run on four hits over the first six innings.

MIAMI 3 – Arizona 1… Adam Duvall smacked a go-ahead homer to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning for the Marlins. Miguel Rojas homered to lead off the first.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Houston 7 – N.Y. YANKEES 4… Jose Altuve belted a go-ahead three-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to help power the Astros past the Yankees. Yordan Alvarez hit a pair of solo homers. Martin Maldonado also went deep.

BOSTON 12 – Detroit 9… The Red Sox used a four-run bottom of the eighth inning to get past the Tigers. Alex Verdugo drove in three runs with a pair of singles. Frenchy Cordero went 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Texas 4 – MINNESOTA 3 (10 innings)… Willie Calhoun singled home Jonah Heim with the decisive run in the top of the 10th inning as the Rangers topped the Twins. Heim tied the game with a solo homer in the eighth. Joey Gallo also went deep for Texas.

Cleveland 4 – KANSAS CITY 0… Triston McKenzie (1-1) limited the Royals to two hits over five innings and three relievers completed the shutout. Amed Rosario singled home a run and legged out an RBI triple. Franmil Reyes homered with the bases empty.

Toronto 10 – OAKLAND 4… Randal Grichuk homered, doubled and knocked in five runs to lead the Blue Jays in their thrashing of the Athletics. Danny Jensen and Marcus Semien also circled the bases for Toronto.

Tampa Bay 8 – L.A. ANGELS 3… The Rays erupted to score seven runs in the top of the eighth inning to upend the Angels. Brett Phillips had two hits during the uprising. Mike Zunino put Tampa Bay on the board with a seventh-inning homer.
