NATIONAL LEAGUE
PHILADELPHIA 4 – Milwaukee 3… The Phillies did all their scoring in their first two at-bats and held off the Brewers. JT Realmuto hit a two-run homer. Starter Vince Velasquez (1-0) pitched six sharp innings.

ST. LOUIS 6 – N.Y. Mets 5…… Nolan Arenado belted a game-tying three-run homer in the bottom of the third inning and Tyler O’Neill added a go-ahead RBI double as the Cardinals topped the Mets for their fifth straight win. Harrison Bader also went deep for St. Louis

SAN DIEGO 2 – Pittsburgh 0… Tommy Pham lifted a sacrifice fly and Nola doubled home a run as the Padres scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to slip the Pirates. Six San Diego pitchers combined on a four-hitter.

L.A. Dodgers – CHI. CUBS (ppd.)… Rain in Chicago forced postponement of last night’s Cubs-Dodgers game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

San Francisco – COLORADO (ppd.)… Rain in Denver forced postponement of last night’s Giants-Rockies game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
MINNESOTA 6 – Texas 5… Jorge Polanco knocked in a pair of runs with a double and a triple and the Twins held off the Rangers. Starter Kenta Maeda (2-2) pitched two-hit ball over 5-1/3 scoreless innings.

Cleveland 8 – KANSAS CITY 6… Eddie Rosario blasted a tie-breaking three-run homer and Josh Naylor added a two-run shot during a five-run top of the seventh inning that carried the Indians past the Royals. Naylor also doubled home a run.

Tampa Bay 7 – L.A. ANGELS 3… Manuel Margot singled home a run and homered with a runner aboard to lead the Rays past the Angels. Mike Brosseau opened the scoring with a two-run single in the top of the third inning.

OAKLAND 5 – Toronto 4… Stephen Piscotty and Rámon Laureano hit two-run homers to power the Athletics past the Blue Jays. Jed Lowrie went 3-for-4 with an RBI double.

Baltimore 5 – SEATTLE 3… Cedric Mullins and Freddy Galvis cracked two-runs homers as the Orioles scored all five runs in the top of the eighth inning to upend the Mariners.
