BUFFALO 4 – N.Y. Islanders 2… Sam Reinhart scored two of the Sabres’ three unanswered third-period goals in the win over the Islanders. Tage Thompson had a goal and an assist. Goalie Michael Houser stopped 34 shots to win his NHL debut.
Boston 3 – NEW JERSEY 0… The Bruins blanked the Devils to clinch their fifth straight playoff berth. Goalie Tuukka Rask stopped all 20 shots. Patrice Bergeron had a goal and an assist.
Washington 6 – N.Y. Rangers 3… The Capitals closed with four straight goals to double up on the Rangers. Nic Dowd had a goal and an assist. Michael Raffl set up two goals.
PHILADELPHIA 7 – Pittsburgh 2… Claude Giroux scored two goals and assisted on another as the Flyers thrashed the Penguins. Shayne Gostisbehere added a goal and an assist.
CAROLINA 5 – Chicago 2… Sebastian Aho scored two of his three goals in the second period and the Hurricanes rolled past the Blackhawks. Dougie Hamilton had a goal and an assist. Vincent Trocheck added two assists.
Nashville 4 – COLUMBUS 3 (OT)… Roman Josi’s second goal of the game came 3:24 into overtime and sent the Predators past the Blue Jackets. Filip Forsberg had a goal and an assist.
MONTREAL 3 – Toronto 2 (OT)… Phillip Danault netted the tying goal with 52 seconds left in regulation and Cole Caulfield added the game-winner with 17 seconds to go in overtime as the Canadiens outlasted the Maple Leafs. Nick Suzuki had three assists.
OTTAWA 2 – Winnipeg 1… Nikita Zaitsev netted the decisive goal with 1:13 remaining as the Senators edged the Jets. Connor Brown scored a shorthanded goal in the first period. Filip Gustavsson made 28 saves at goal.
FLORIDA 5 – Dallas 4 (OT)… The Panthers recovered to outlast the Stars after blowing a two-goal third-period lead. Aleksander Barkov scored the game-winner 2:50 into overtime. Owen Tippett had two assists.
MINNESOTA 6 – Vegas 5… The Wild came from two goals down midway through the third period to stun the Golden Knights. Kirill Kaprizov and Jonas Brodin scored 26 seconds apart in the final minute-and-a-half. Nick Bonino scored goals and assisted on another.
Los Angeles 3 – ARIZONA 2… Alex Iafallo’s power-play goal in the second period gave the Kings the lead for good in their win over the Coyotes. Anze Kopitar had a goal and an assist.
Edmonton 5 – VANCOUVER 3… Connor McDavid had two goals and two assists as the Oilers handled the Canucks and clinched a playoff spot. Leon Draisaitl assisted on two goals.
Colorado 5 – SAN JOSE 4 (OT)… The Avalanche came from two goals down in the third period to beat the Sharks. Andre Burakovsky found the net 43 seconds into overtime.
