NEW JERSEY 6 – Philadelphia 4… The Devils shot their way past the Flyers to end their 10-game winless streak. Yegor Sharangovich scored a go-ahead goal in the third period. Pavel Zacha had a goal and an assist.
N.Y. RANGERS 3 – Buffalo 1… Alex Lafreniere netted a tie-breaking goal in the third period and Mika Zibanejad added a power-play goal in the Rangers’ win. Igor Shesterkin made 36 saves at goal.
Boston 3 – PITTSBURGH 1… The Bruins tightened up the Eastern Conference race with the defeat of the Penguins. David Krejci had a goal and an assist. Goalie Tuukka Rask stopped 25 shots.
COLUMBUS 1 – Detroit 0 (SO)… Patrik Laine and Oliver Bjorkstrand scored in the tie-breaker to send the Blue Jackets past the Red Wings. Elvis Merzlikins made 41 saves at goal. The victory ended Columbus’ nine-game losing streak.
Tampa Bay 7 – CHICAGO 4… The Lightning skated past the Blackhawks to clinch a playoff spot. Alex Killorn netted a power-play goal and added an empty-netter. Brayden Point had a goal and two assists.
Florida 7 – NASHVILLE 4… The Panthers scored four unanswered goals in the third period to put away the Predators. Jonathan Huberdeau scored two goals and set up three others.
Carolina 5 – DALLAS 1… Jordan Staal scored two power-play goals and had an assist in leading the Hurricanes past the Stars. Sebastian Aho had a goal and two assists.
