ATLANTA 5 – Chi. Cubs 0… Ian Anderson (2-0) allowed one hit over seven innings. Ronald Acuña homered in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie.
MILWAUKEE 5 – Miami 4… Tyrone Taylor and Omar Narvaez hit back-to-back homers in the bottom of the second inning for the Brewers. Taylor added an RBI single in the sixth.
ST. LOUIS 5 – Philadelphia 2… Carlos Martinez (1-0) notched his first win as a starter since 2018 with a strong seven-plus-inning performance. Tommy Edman and Paul Goldschmidt stroked two-run doubles for St. Louis.
ARIZONA 5 – San Diego 1… Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly (2-2) allowed just a run on four hits over six innings. Carson Kelly homered with a runner aboard.
Colorado 7 – SAN FRANCISCO 5 (10 innings)… Ryan McMahon hit a two-run homer and C.J. Cron followed with a solo shot in the top of the ninth inning as the Rockies put away the Giants. Charlie Blackmon lined a two-run double in the first.
Cincinnati 6 – L.A. DODGERS 5… Joey Votto came through with a go-ahead two-run double in the top of the seventh inning to rally the Reds past the Dodgers. Jesse Winker homered to lead off the game.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
CLEVELAND 7 – Minnesota 4… Franmil Reyes went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo homers in leading the Indians past the Twins. Jose Ramirez also homered with the bases empty.
N.Y. Yankees 5 – BALTIMORE 1… Corey Kluber (1-2) held the Orioles to a run on six hits over 6-2/3 innings. Aaron Judge, Kyle Hagashioka and Giancarlo Stanton homered for New York.
TAMPA BAY 4 – Oakland 3… Brett Phillips slugged a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning and Joey Wendle singled home the decisive run in the seventh for the Rays.
TEXAS 6 – L.A. Angels 1… Nick Solak hit a pair of solo homers and Joey Gallo connected for a two-run shot in the Rangers’ win. Mike Foltynewicz (1-3) gave up a run on eight hits over 5-1/3 innings.
Detroit 5 – CHI. WHITE SOX 2… The Tigers overcame a season-high five errors in downing the White Sox. Miguel Cabrera and Niko Goodrum homered. Jose Ureña (1-3) pitched seven innings to notch his first win in two years.
HOUSTON 2 – Seattle 0… Cristian Javier (3-0) pitched two-hit ball over seven innings and two relievers completed the Astros’ shutout of the Mariners. Yordan Alvarez lifted a sacrifice fly and Kyle Tucker’s infield single brought in another run as Houston scored both runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
INTERLEAGUE
PITTSBURGH 2 – Kansas City 1… Pinch-hitter Wilmer Difo singled home Jacob Stallings with a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Pirates hung on to edge the Royals.
TORONTO 9 – Washington 5… Vladimir Guerrero Jr. belted three home runs, including a grand slam, in helping power the Blue Jays past the Nationals. Guerrero drove in seven runs on the night.
Boston 2 – N.Y. METS 1… Garrett Richards (1-2) surrendered a run on seven hits and struck out 10 as the Red Sox clipped the Mets. Rafael Devers singled home Kiké Hernandez with a go-ahead run in the top of the sixth inning. Bobby Dalbec homered to lead off the second.
