NATIONAL LEAGUE
San Francisco 10 – PHILADELPHIA 7… The Giants came from six runs down in the sixth inning to top the Phillies. Buster Posey homered twice with the bases empty.

WASHINGTON 3 – St. Louis 2… The Nationals came up with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to upend the Cardinals. Yan Gomes drew a bases-loaded walk to force home Josh Harrison with the go-ahead run.

CHI. CUBS 3 – N.Y. Mets 1… Cubs starter Jake Arrieta (3-1) held the Mets to a run on three hits over three innings. Eric Sogard singled home a run and scored twice.

Milwaukee 6 – SAN DIEGO 0… Brewers starter Corbin Burnes tossed a four-hitter and fanned 10 over six innings. Three relievers completed the shutout. Billy McKinney and Jace Peterson smacked solo homers.

Arizona – CINCINNATI (susp.)… Rain and snow in Cincinnati forced suspension of the Diamondbacks-Reds game in the eighth inning with the Diamondbacks winning 5-4.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Chi. White Sox 8 – CLEVELAND 5… Jose Abreu homered twice and drove in three runs for the White Sox.

OAKLAND 7 – Minnesota 0… Mitch Moreland hit a pair of homers and knocked in three runs for the Athletics in the doubleheader opener. Matt Olson unloaded a grand slam.

OAKLAND 1 – Minnesota 0… The Athletics clipped the Twins to complete a sweep of the twinbill and run their winning streak to 10 games. Jesus Luzardo (1-1) allowed just two hits over 5-1/3 innings.

BOSTON 4 – Toronto 3… Xavier Bogaerts belted a three-run homer and Bobby Dalbec added an RBI single as the Red Sox did all their scoring in the bottom of the fourth inning and held off the Blue Jays.

Tampa Bay 14 –  KANSAS CITY 7… They Rays pounded out 17 hits in their thrashing of the Royals. They got homers from Brandon Lowe, Austin Meadows and Mike Zunino.

L.A. ANGELS 6 – Texas 2… Kurt Suzuki hit a two-run homer for the Angels. Mike Trout and Albert Pujols added solo shots.

INTERLEAGUE
L.A. Dodgers 1 – SEATTLE 0… Julio Urias (3-0) pitched one-hit ball over seen innings and struck out 11. Two relievers completed the shutout.  Corey Seager singled home A.J. Pollock with the game’s only run in the top of the third inning.

N.Y. YANKEES 3 – Atlanta 1… The Yankees scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning on a wild pitch and a walk to ease past the Braves and snap their five-game skid.

Baltimore 7 – MIAMI 5… Trey Mancini and Freddy Galvis hit solo homers for the Orioles. Rio Ruiz stroked a two-run double.

COLORADO 6 –  Houston 2… C.J. Cron belted a three-run homer and knocked in five runs to lead the Rockies’ past the Astros. Dom Nuñez also went deep.

Pittsburgh –  DETROIT (ppd)… Rain in Detroit forced postponement of last night’s Pirates-Tigers game. It has been re-scheduled as part of a doubleheader today.
