TAMPA BAY 3 – Carolina 2 (OT)… Yanni Gourde found the net 2:50 into overtime to send the Lightning past the Hurricanes. Alex Killorn had a goal and an assist.

FLORIDA 4 – Columbus 2… Frank Vatrano netted a pair of goals to lead the Panthers past the Blue Jackets. Anthony Duclair assisted on two goals.

DALLAS 3 – Detroit 2 (SO)… Denis Gurianov scored in the fifth round of the shootout to win it for the Stars. Roope Hintz had a goal and an assist.

NASHVILLE 5 – Chicago 2… Tanner Jeannot and Luke Kunin scored 18 seconds apart in the third period as the Predators put away the Blackhawks. Mikael Granlund set up two goals.

Ottawa 4 – CALGARY 2… Connor Brown scored a short-handed goal and added an empty-netter as the Senators downed the Flames. Goalie Matt Murray made 26 saves.

EDMONTON 4 – Montreal 1… The Oilers came alive to score all four goals in the third period and skated past the Canadiens. Connor McDavid scored a goal and assisted on two others.

Minnesota 5 – ARIZONA 2… The Wild made it four straight wins with the defeat of the Coyotes. Kevin Fiala had a goal and an assist.

VEGAS 3 – San Jose 2 (SO)… The Golden Knights extended their winning streak to seven games by outlasting the Sharks. Alex Tuch netted the winning goal in the tie-breaker. Robin Lehner stopped 29 shots at goal. It was a historic night for 41-year-old San Jose forward Patrick Marleau, who played in his 1,768th game and passed Gordie Howe for the most games played in NHL History.
