NATIONAL LEAGUE
ATLANTA 7 – Miami 6… The Braves scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to top the Marlins. Dansby Swanson’s bases-loaded single scored Ronald Acuña Jr. with the winning run. Acuña homered with a runner aboard and Pablo Sandoval blasted a three-run shot for Atlanta.

San Diego 8 – PITTSBURGH 3… Manny Machado hit a two-run homer during a four-run top of the first inning and lifted a sacrifice fly in leading the Padres past the Pirates. Eric Hosmer stroked a two-run single. Jake Cronenworth also knocked in two runs.

Arizona 11 – WASHINGTON 6… The Diamondbacks erupted to score seven runs in the top of the seconds inning to erase a 4-3 deficit and blow away the Nationals. Andrew Young unloaded a grand slam to cap the outburst. Carson Kelly, Eduardo Escobar and Paving Smith hit solo homers.

L.A. DODGERS 7 – Colorado 5… Justin Turner and Max Muncy cracked three-run homers to lead the Dodgers past the Rockies. Dodger reliever David Price worked out of trouble in the top of the ninth inning to record his first career save.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Seattle 4 – BALTIMORE 2… J.P. Crawford’s tie-breaking two-run double in the top of the sixth inning carried the Mariners past the Orioles in the first game of a doubleheader. Mitch Haniger slugged a game-tying two-run homer in the fifth.

Seattle 2 – BALTIMORE 1… Mitch Hanigar smacked a go-ahead solo homer in the top of the fifth inning and the Mariners made it stand in completing a sweep of the twinbill. Dylan Moore homered to lead off the third. Justin Dunn (1-0) allowed just a run on two hits over five innings.

MINNESOTA 4 – Boston 3… Max Kepler singled home Luis Arraez with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Twins snapped their five-game skid and ended the Red Sox’ nine-game winning streak. Miguel Sanó led off the sixth with a homer.

Cleveland 4 – CHI. WHITE SOX 2… José Ramirez connected for a two-run homer to help power the Indians past the White Sox. Cleveland starter Aaron Civale (3-0) allowed just a run on five hits over six innings.

Texas 6 – TAMPA BAY 4 (10 innings)… Adolis Garcia blasted his first major-league homer with a runner aboard in the top of the 10th inning to push the Rangers past the Rays. Charlie Culberson also hit a two-run homer. Nick Solak homered and singled home a run.

KANSAS CITY 7 – Toronto 5… The Royals built a 7-0 lead after four innings and held off the Blue Jays. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-5 and drove in a run. Joe Panik stroked a two-run double.

OAKLAND 8 – Detroit 4… The Athletics got solo homers from Stephen Piscotty and Matt Olson, along with a two-run double from Matt Chapman, in doubling up on the Tigers. Starter Sean Manaea (1-1) gave up two runs on five hits over six innings.
