Mary Patricia Heimer, age 88, of Cottonwood, AZ formerly of Knox County, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in Cottonwood, AZ.
She was born March 18, 1933, in Baring, MO, the daughter of Joseph Michael and Ethel Elizabeth (Dromey) Reardon. She was united in marriage to Jerome E. (Jerry) Heimer of the Quincy, IL and Palmyra, MO area on November 1, 1960 and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2005. Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she led a very full and happy life. She thoroughly loved being a doting wife and homemaker and also enjoyed traveling, hunting, camping, and being with family and friends.
Mary was also preceded in death by her brother Jim Reardon of Baring, MO, step granddaughter Michelle Barker of Quincy, IL, brothers in law William Heimer of Palmyra, MO, William Norton of Apache Junction, AZ, Pat Gibbons of Edina, MO and Richard (Dick) Heitholt of Yorkville, IL, sisters in law, Barbara (Glass) Reardon of Baring, MO, Naomi (Sutter) Heimer of Palmyra, MO, Wanda (Heimer) Norton of Apache Junction, AZ, Mary Jo (Heimer) Ringering of Joplin, MO, and Fern (Heimer) Heitholt of Yorkville, IL.
Surviving are two children, Rick Heimer of Cottonwood, AZ, Joyce (Heimer) Spangler and family of Denver, CO, and step children Cindy (Heimer) Barker and family of Canton, MO, Mike Heimer and family of Baylis, IL and Diana (Heimer) Miller and family of Quincy, IL, one brother Jack Reardon and family of Edina, MO, one sister Dorothy Gibbons and family of Edina, MO, and Marty (Stauffer) Reardon of Edina, MO. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 16, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, MO. Father Simeon Etonu will officiate the services assisted by Reverend Ken Berry. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Baring, MO.
