NHL Scores Monday 4-12, Blues Postponed

Detroit 3 – CAROLINA 1… Adam Erne scored back-to-back goals early in the third period to break a scoreless tie. Jonathan Bernier made 37 saves at goal for the Red Wings.

COLUMBUS 4 – Chicago 3 (OT)… Brandon Hagel found the net 1:25 into overtime to send the Blue Jackets past the Blackhawks. Patrik Laine scored twice in regulation.

MONTREAL 4 – Toronto 2… Tomas Tatar opened the scoring 1:17 into the contest and added an empty-netter with 2:25 remaining and the Canadiens snapped the Maple Leafs’ six-game winning streak.

OTTAWA 4 – Winnipeg 2… Brady Tkachuk found the net twice as the Senators topped the jets. Thomas Chabot set up two goals.

COLORADO 4 – Arizona 2… Mikko Rantanen netted a pair of goals in leading the Avalanche past the Coyotes for their eighth win in nine games. Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and an assist. Cale Makar assisted on two goals.

Vegas 4 – LOS ANGELES 2… The Golden Knights erased a two-goal second-period deficit in downing the Kings. Mark Stone had a goal and an assist. Shea Theodore had two assists.

Anaheim 4 – SAN JOSE 0… Goalie Anthony Stolarz made a career-high 45 saves in his third career shutout. Alexander Vokov scored a pair of goals for the Ducks.

St. Louis – MINNESOTA (ppd)… The Wild postponed last night’s game against the Blues out of respect for 20-year-old Daunte Wright, the victim of a fatal police shooting in the Brooklyn Center suburb. The game has been rescheduled for May 12.
