Despite 34 points from Cade McKnight, the Truman Men’s basketball season came to a close Wednesday, losing to Flagler 70-69 in the Elite Eight at the Division II Tournament. Truman took a 36-30 lead into halftime and extended the lead to 41-30 early in the second half before Flagler came from behind.
Trailing by just one 69-68, Flagler’s Chris Metzger hit two huge free throws with ten seconds left to give Flagler a 70-69 lead. Truman’s Turner Scott missed a game winning shot at the buzzer and Flagler hangs on for the win.
