NHL SCOREBOARD…
Nashville 4 – TAMPA BAY 1… Calle Jarnkrok scored a shorthanded goal and had three assists as the Predators skated past the Lightning. Pekka Rinne made 38 saves at goal.

Philadelphia 5 – N.Y. RANGERS 4 (OT)…The Flyers blew an early two-goal lead and then came from behind twice before outlasting the Rangers. Jakub Voracek set up two goals and netted the game-winner at 3:47 of overtime. Joel Farabee had a goal and an assist.

FLORIDA 6 – Chicago 3… The Panthers came from two goals down in the second period to double up on the Blackhawks. Aleksander Barkov had a goal and two assists. Gustav Forsling scored a goal and assisted on another.

PITTSBURGH 4 – Boston 1… Evan Rodrigues and Sidney Crosby scored back-to-back goals in the second period to give the Penguins the lead for good in their win over the Bruins. Evgeni Malkin’s power-play goal in the second period gave him his 1,100th NHL point.

Vancouver 3 – OTTAWA 2  (OT)… The Canucks recovered to outlast the Senators after blowing a two-goal lead. J.T. Miller netted the game-winner at 1:40 of overtime. Goalie Thatcher Demko stopped 44 shots.

Washington 6 – BUFFALO 0… Vitak Vanecek stopped all 23 shots at goal and the Capitals skated past the Sabres. Alex Ovechkin scored his 717th career goal, leaving him tied with Phil Esposito for sixth place on the all-time list.

Montreal 4 – WINNIPEG 2… Tyler Toffoli scored a second-period goal and added an empty-netter as the Canadians topped the Jets. Toffoli also assisted on Josh Anderson’s power-play goal.

CALGARY 4 – Edmonton 3… Noah Hanifin scored a go-ahead goal early in the third period and the Flames hung on to edge the Oilers. Elias Lindholm, Dillon Dube and Andrew Mangiapane each had a goal and an assist.

VEGAS 2 – San Jose 1… Max Pacioretty scored a power-play goal in the first period and set up Mark Stone’s goal in the third to lift the Golden Knights over the Sharks. Marc-Andre Fleury made 23 stops at goal.
