Eleanor Binkley

Eleanor Margurette Binkley, age 93, of Edina, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, in the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO. She was born December 28, 1927, in Knox City, MO, the daughter of Charles Quincy (C.Q.) Myers and Margurette Zoa Huffman Myers.

She was united in marriage to George Robert (Bob) Binkley on February 16, 1946, in Knox City, MO and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2008.

Eleanor was also preceded by her parents and son-in-law Don Pierce.

Surviving are one daughter Farrell Church of Palmyra, MO, one brother James H. Myers of Bella Vista, AK, two grandchildren, Jason Ray (Jena) Church of Kahoka, MO, and Meghan Rae (Lance) Karr of Hannibal, MO, eleven great grandchildren, Bryan Plenge, Jordan Plenge, Eric (Megan) Morgan, Mary Thompson, Aubreyona Rae Church, Dettriona Rae Church, Chanz Ray Church, LizBeth Rae Church, Harper Rae Karr, Jackson Ray Karr and Birdie Rae Karr, one great-great granddaughter, Jaelah Plenge, and many other relatives and friends including a special friend Bill Hunziker.

Eleanor graduated from Knox City High School. She and her husband Bob lived all their life in Knox City and Edina, MO. Eleanor had been employed as assistant Postmaster in Knox City, ASCS office in Edina, bookkeeper for C.Q. Myers and Ruth Ann Stover’s Abstract office. Eleanor enjoyed cross stitch and Collecting plates. She was a member of the Edina United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. March 4, 2021, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend John Bode will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
