Mary Alice (Blankenship) Farley, 77 of rural Kirksville, Missouri passed away at her home on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
The daughter of Orville and Esta (Henry) Blankenship, she was born in Livonia, Missouri on August 12, 1943. She was a graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Gary Stanton and to this union two children were born, James and Shelley. On June 26, 1994 at the Downing Baptist Church in Downing, Missouri, she was united in marriage to James Darroll Farley.
Mary Alice is survived by her husband, Jim Farley of rural Kirksville, Missouri; her children, James A. Stanton and wife, Carmen of Kirksville, Missouri and Shelley Stanton and husband, Eric Kelly of Las Vegas, Nevada; stepchildren, Jasetia Buckallew and husband, Rich of Lancaster, Missouri, Julie Poe and husband, Doug of Downing, Missouri, Mary Gordy and husband, Ken of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Robbie Farley and wife, Stacey of Lancaster, Missouri; one grandson, Preston Kelly of Las Vegas, Nevada; several step grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other family members.
Mary Alice is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gary Stanton; three brothers, Orville Junior Blankenship, Wayne Henry Blankenship and William Blaine Blankenship.
Mary Alice was a member of the Sugar Creek Community Church in Kirksville, Missouri where she attended as long as her health permitted. Mary Alice played the piano for different churches in the area for a number of years.
Mary Alice’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services at this time. Memorials have been established for Sugar Creek Community Church in Kirksville, Missouri.
