KHS Tigers Suffer Tough Loss To Fulton

A bad second half by the Kirksville Tigers helped the Fulton Hornets come from way down and win 65-59 Saturday at Tiger Gym. KHS played a dominating first half, led 23-14 at the end of the first quarter, then took a 35-22 lead into the locker room. But, the Tigers committed too many mistakes in the second half with turnovers and missed shots. You cannot give a team like Fulton opportunities, and Fulton took advantage of every one. The Hornets outscored Kirksville 25-17 in the third, and 18-7 in the fourth to win the game 65-59. Noah Copeland led KHS with 17 points, 15 from Lane Feeney and 12 from Dylan Kinney. Fulton was led by Courtland Simmons and Walker Gohring who each scored 16 points. The Tigers slip to 13-4 overall and 3-3 in the NCMC. The Tigers will have to shake this one off quickly, as they play four games in five days beginning Monday with a home date against Moberly.
