Fernando Bahena-Osorio

Fernando Bahena-Osorio, 60 years old, of Milan, Missouri passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Fernando was born January 10, 1961 in El Salto Morelos, Mexico to Margarito Bahena and Irene Osorio.

Fernando married Irma (Pineda) Bahena and she survives of the home. Also surviving: three children, Fernando Bahena, Jr. of Ottumwa, Iowa, Edgar Bahena of Milan, and Jennifer Bahena of the home; one grandchild, Fernando Bahena III; brothers and sisters, Roman Bahena and wife Josefina of Milan, Salvador Bahena and wife Reyna of Illinois, Martin Bahena and wife Lupe of Iowa, Rogelio Bahena and wife Juanita of Georgia, Alicia Bahena of California, Elvira Bahena of Mexico, Marisela Bahena of Mexico, Marina Bahena of Mexico; an uncle, Esteban Osorio and wife Juanita and family; a brother-in-law, Apolinar Pineda Nava and wife Adriana of Mexico; several nieces and nephews including, Emir Bahena and wife Arely and children Jaylin and Julianna, Xavier Bahena, Odalis Bahena and husband Elias and children Monzerat and Elias Jr.; and a cousin, Abel Bahena and his wife Angelica. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Fernando grew up in Mexico, he worked in the fields there and married Irma, having their first child Fernando Jr. They then moved to California where he also worked in the fields and this is where they had their second child, Edgar, before moving to Missouri in 1999. They then had their princess, Jennifer. He has lived for the past 21 year in Milan, working for 18 years at Smithfield. Nine years ago, Fernando found Jesus Christ and became a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He loved reading the Bible and was always praying for others. Fernando also was very family oriented and enjoyed family gatherings.

A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milan. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the mass from 7:00 AM until the time of the service, at the church. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Fernando’s family.
