The Kirksville Lady Tigers pulled away with late free throw shooting and beat Marshall 49-42 Thursday at Tiger Gym. KHS grabbed an 11 point lead at the end of the 3rd, 40-29. Marshall got to within four, but a big three pointer by Channing Totta and four straight free throws by Corinne Vorkink helped the Lady Tigers to the victory. Vorkink finished with 19 points, and shot 8 out of 9 from the free throw line for the game. KHS has now won five of the their last six and climb to 6-7 overall, 2-1 in the NCMC. Friday it’s a Senior Night double header for the Kirksville teams as they welcome Mexico to town. 6:10 coverage on KIRX.
