Harvey Eldon Darnel, 84 of Kirksville passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The son of Howard and Sarah (Musick) Darnel, he was born June 7, 1936 in Adair County, Missouri. He has been a life-long resident of Adair County. He was the youngest of seven children, one sister, Lola Johnson and five brothers, Hollis (Bo), Glen (Rip), Olin (Huley), Robert (Buggar) and William (Rusty) Darnel. They all preceded him in death.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Henrietta Darnel of Independence, MO and many nieces and nephews.
He attended Kolhmyra Rural School and was a farmer for most of his life. He was always a happy person and knew no stranger. He loved his church, Fellowship Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 with a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Yarrow Cemetery.
