Tigers Stay Undefeated With Another Win Over Macon

The Kirksville Tigers stayed undefeated and won another tough battle with Macon Tuesday 69-58. KHS trailed 17-14 in the second quarter, but roared back to take a 39-27 lead at the half. Macon outscored Kirksville 14-8 in the 3rd to get to within 6, but clutch free throw shooting down the stretch helped the Tigers pull away, a familiar refrain for the Tigers this season, and they win it 69-58. KHS shot 10 out of 11 at the stripe in the fourth. Isaac Danielson was a perfect 6 for 6 in the period, Noah Copeland 3 for 3 in the fourth. For the game, KHS went 16 out of 19. Copeland led the way with 22 points, Danielson 17, Dylan Kinney 13. Macon had four players in double figures, Isaac Nobles with 16, Mykel Linear 15, 13 for Maurice Magruder, and 11 for Hayden Lovingier. Kirksville climbs to 7-0 on the year and make another road trip Friday to take on the Hannibal Pirates.
