Tigers Win Highland Tournament Championship

The Kirksville Tigers won the Highland Tournament championship with a hard fought win over Highland 70-65. In a very physical game, KHS went to the free throw line 18 times in the fourth quarter and made 15, and Keaton Anderson came up with a big steal with 7 seconds to play to help seal the win. Isaac Danielson led KHS with 20 points, Anderson and Noah Copeland each had 12. The Tigers overcame 24 points from Cameron Bringer. Alex Meyer poured in 18, and was a perfect 7 for 7 at the free throw line in the fourth. Drew Mallet was the other Cougar in double figures with 16. KHS climbs to 6-0 on the year, and will be part of a KHS varsity doubleheader Tuesday at Macon.
