Tigers Advance To Highland Tournament Championship Game

The Kirksville Tigers won a tough battle over Macon 60-51 in the semifinals of the Highland Tournament Thursday. Clutch free throw shooting by Noah Copeland down the stretch helped put the game away. Copeland was 4 out of 5 at the stripe in the fourth and finished 9 of 11 for the night on his way to 15 points. Isaac Danielson led KHS with 17 points, Keaton Anderson 10. Macon had three players in double figures, Isaac Nobles with 15, Mykel Linear 14, Maurice Magruder with 11. The Tigers climb to 5-0 on the year and will play in the Tournament championship game Saturday against Highland, 7:30 at Highland High School. Highland knocked off top seed Palmyra 49-48 in the other semifinal.
