Jerry Lee Veach Sr., 71, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva and George Veach, of Kirksville, MO, and one son, Michael Veach. Jerry is survived by his wife Penny, 5 children, Shiela Veach, Jerry Veach Jr, David Veach (Bethany), Jeff Veach (Ashley), Amy Allen (Aaron), as well as 15 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, his brothers and sisters – Gerald Burns of Belvidere, IL (Carol), John Veach of Kirksville, MO, Linda Bachman of Kirksville, MO, Tina Veach of Kirksville, MO. and David Veach of Macon MO.
Jerry was born May 6th, 1949 in Yakima, Washington, but grew up in Kirksville MO. Jerry had 4 children with Liz Dyer– Michael, Shiela, Jerry Jr and David Veach. He later remarried and had 2 children with Teri Lippincott – Jeff and Amy. He then married Penny Anesi, August 8th, 2004.
Jerry retired from Watlow Manufacturing in Hannibal MO and began driving a cab which he very much enjoyed, eventually opening his own Cab Company in Hannibal, then moved the business to Kirksville, MO. Eventually he returned to Hannibal, and continued driving a cab, and was known for his clean car and impeccable service.
Jerry loved Elvis Presley, Graceland and classic cars. He enjoyed many family vacations visiting Elvis’ home. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was loved dearly, and will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, in Kirksville, MO. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. service time in the chapel. Interment will follow the service at Rose Cemetery in Graysville, MO.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Veach, Jerry Veach Jr., Aaron Allen, Joey Diekmann, Jacob Veach, and Christian Welch.
