Geraldine Marion Gingerich, 92 of Kirksville passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Kirksville Manor Care.
The daughter of Timothy and Juanita (Winget) Summers, she was born November 1, 1929 in Kirksville, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Basil Christman and to this union three children were born. On September 13, 1959 in Kirksville, Missouri she was united in marriage to Dale Gingerich.
Geraldine is survived by one son, Donald Christman of Kirksville; ten grandchildren, Tami, Sandra, Brad, Tracy, Terri, Troy, Tandy, Dawn, Joe and Andy; several great grandchildren; four great Chrisman grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Karen Berry of Kirksville and Verna Lou Anderson of Midwest City, OK; one half-brother, Tom Daman of Kirksville; three half-sisters, Patricia Daman of Kirksville, Sue Daman of Ashland, MO and Betty Jo Daman of Kirksville; a special niece, Kiesha Daman White and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dale; two sons, Troy M. Christman and Edward Christman; and two brothers, Jerry Summers and Dick Summers.
Geraldine grew up in Kirksville. She worked for Ruby Green Feed, Hollister’s and Florsheim Shoe Factory. She enjoyed crafts, collecting receipts, flowers, gardening, traveling and canning.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens.
