Alice Coleen Wayman

Alice Coleen Wayman, age 91, passed away at the home of her daughter, Pamela, in Kearney, MO on December 21, 2020.

Alice was born on April 30, 1929 in Centerville, IA to Peter and Essie Mae (Hurley) Richmond; she was the 11th child. She loved animals and had several dogs and cats over the years. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and was best known for her homemade egg noodles. During her working career, she held positions in housekeeping for NMSU President McClain’s family, head housekeeper for Grim-Smith Hospital and later at Manor Care Nursing Home. She retired from Countryside Rehabilitation Center. She especially enjoyed interacting with senior citizens.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 71 years, William (Gene) Wayman who passed on December 19, 2017. Survivors include her daughters, Vicki Brown of Kansas City, MO, Kim (Dave) Lamaster of Kansas City, MO and Pamela (David) Kirkpatrick of Kearney, MO; grandchildren, Shelly (Matt) Brown-Brantner of Kearney, MO and Dylan (Brie) Lamaster of Kansas City, MO; and great-grandchild, Jeb Brantner of Kearney, MO.

A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO.

She will be buried next to her husband at Maple Hills Cemetery.
